• Want to look at or manage your reservation? Visit Hotwire’s website and click on ‘My Account’, and use your login credentials. After you sign in you can look at your Itinerary.
• If you don’t have an account on their website, that’s okay. You can still access your information.
• Click on ‘My Account’, and then there will be a sign-in page.
• Enter your itinerary number (it’ll be in the email you received from Hotwire after placing your order), or the last four digits of the credit card you used to place the order.
• Now, if by chance you have multiple trips coming up, or at least multiple orders, you’ll need a separate itinerary number for each.

Hotwire’s Cancellation Policy:

• When it comes to Hotwire’s Hot-Rate offers, there is no returns or refunds issued for those bookings.
• As Hotwire explains on their website, the Hot-Rate offers are special low-priced offers that hotels and airlines issue at a special low price to fill rooms/seats.
• For regular bookings made on their site (that is, non-Hot Rate offers), the cancellation policy varies from hotel to hotel.
• When you booked your hotel, the email you received from Hotwire.com will detail that specific hotel’s cancellation/return policy. You can also login to ‘My Account’ on their website and manage your booking from there.
• As a head’s up, if you think you might need to cancel your trip, then (according to Hotwire.com’s website) they advise you purchase trip cancellation insurance. It’s the safest way to ensure that you can get a refund for your order.

How To Use Hotwire.com’s Unpublished Rate System:

Hotwire’s system is unique and it can be intimidating to first-time users. This is a quick step by step process for booking a trip using Hotwire’s system:

1. Select your departure city, your arrival city, and your travel dates. You can choose to search only for flights, or for flight and hotel, flight, hotel and car, and any combination thereof. Click on the big red button that says: “Find a Vacation”.
   
2. You will get a list of hotels with prices. But instead of the names, the list will say something like “London, South Area Hotel”. It will include amenities that the hotel provides, such as free breakfast, wi-fi, and other features that will help you choose the most convenient hotel. Select the hotel that works best for you:
3. You’ll see a page with user reviews of that particular hotel. These are provided by Tripadvisor, however Hotwire still doesn’t tell you which hotel it is. Not yet.
4. Click “Book Hotel” and you’ll be taken to an order screen to fill out your information. Keep in mind that Hotwire does not offer refunds at all. All transactions are final. However, you can purchase trip cancellation insurance. For a $600 hotel booking, the cancellation insurance was $90.
